MARGARET HUNTER {soprano}

Soprano Margaret Hunter regularly performs repertoire from the 11th to the 21st centuries.  A specialist in the music of the Renaissance and Baroque, she has appeared as a soloist with numerous leading early music ensembles in Europe, Asia, and North America and has presented solo recitals and chamber music programs at festivals and concert halls all over the world.  In addition to dozens of prize-winning radio, television, and CD recordings, Ms. Hunter is an active participant in early opera, having performed roles in works from the 17th, 18th, and 21st centuries on stages in Germany, Italy and the United States.  Her performances have been praised as "dulcet, mesmerizing and glorious" (Cleveland Plain Dealer), "moving" (Early Music), and "phenomenally expressive, sweet and lyrical" (klassik.com).
